Amelia Anne McEvoy

✨If God is everything you have then you have everything you need✨
Amelia wasn’t just a daughter, sister, friend, auntie, and twin…she was a gift.
She was a gift to us and to this world. She showed us what it looked like to dance and to live completely in love with Jesus.
STEADFAST
Amelia means ‘‘steadfast’’ and that is exactly who she was.
Nothing moved her or scared her to be anything but herself. She lived with such joy, love and freedom that anyone who knew her experienced the love and presence of Jesus Christ through her. She never backed down from speaking the truth and always danced with every fiber of her being. She didn’t just believe in Consuming Fire Films, she was a pillar of it. At the beginning of 2025 we had a meeting to plan our first year of CFF. We were all excited as we planned dance videos, outreaches and talked about the future. A few days later we filmed our first video of the year. Unbelievably, it was the last thing she ever did. On their drive home after filming, the McEvoy sisters were run off the road by a reckless driver. Sophia, Amelia’s twin, was severely injured, as was Olivia their older sister. Amelia was gone instantly. In an instant, all of our lives changed.
When we lost her it felt like we had lost everything and that the dream of CFF died with her. How could we carry on without someone so foundational to our mission and desired to do it more than most of us?
“My Heart is Steadfast oh God, my heart is Steadfast.”
Psalm 57:7
Since January 17, 2025, we have walked through indescribable pain, grief and darkness…yet never alone. God is near to the brokenhearted and by the power of His Holy Spirit our hearts are strengthened in the love of God. We know without a shadow of a doubt that Amelia is dancing in fullness of joy in the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ. She used to dance on stages, streets and cornfields. Now, she dances in the presence of the King of Kings. It is this hope that keeps us going. Our hearts are heavy, but our spirits rejoice. We do not mourn as those without hope. We still dance, we still film and we still tell people about the love of God and we won’t stop because Amelia wouldn’t. Nothing in this world can compare to the love of God through Christ Jesus our Lord. He is the ONLY way to peace, joy, love, freedom and eternal life. He is the reason we have hope, life and joy - despite the sorrows of this fallen world. He is the reason we dance and He is the reason we will see Amelia again one day and we will all dance together again to worship The Great I AM. Until then we will never forget Amelia and we will never stop missing her. However, we will continue to dance, life, laugh and love. We will be Steadfast.
